The 5th Annual Photography Contest: "Public Places, Sacred Spaces"

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library is excited to announce the 5th Annual Photography Contest, "Public Places, Sacred Spaces" sponsored by Cedar Center MOTOPHOTO. Our neighrborhoods, parks, streetscapes, homes, and places of worship can give shape to our inner world. This year we are looking for photos that depict the places and spaces that give meaning to your lives.

Submissions for the contest will be accepted from Sept. 10 through Oct. 8, 2012.  You may drop off your submissions at any of the Heights Libraries.

Beginning October 29, the finalists will be displayed as a traveling exhibition at each branch so that the public can vote for their favorites.   

We will award five prizes to the best overall photographs (Color or Black & White).  All prizes will be redeemable only at the Cedar Center MOTOPHOTO.  Winners will be announced on December 10.

All participants are welcome to stop by the Cedar Center MOTOPHOTO for 50% discounts on prints and $2 mounting fee per image.

Rules:

• No more than 3 photos total may be submitted.
• Submissions may be in Color or Black & White.
• Photos must be 8 x 10 or smaller and mounted onto white 8 ½ x 11 sturdy matte boards.
• Attach your completed entry form to the back of the 8 ½ X 11 board.
• All photos become property of Heights Libraries and may be used for promotional purposes.

Prizes:

First Place: a 30 page 8.5 x 11 photo book, 50 - 4x6 digital prints, a 16x20 archival photograph of winning photo, a portrait session and 11x14 portrait and one year club membership to ClubMOTO.

Second Place: a 20 page 6x6 photo book, 50 - 4x6 digital prints, a 11x14 archival photograph of winning photo, a portrait session and 8x10 portrait and one year club membership to ClubMOTO.

Third Place: a 20 page 6x6 photo book, 25 - 4x6 digital prints, a 10x13 archival photograph of their winning photo, a portrait session and 5x7 portrait and one year club membership to ClubMOTO.

Fourth Place: $25 gift certificate to MOTOPHOTO

Fifth Place: $20 gift certificate to MOTOPHOTO
