The Heights Libraries is committed to providing high quality technology instruction to our customers. The Library offers a variety of classes ranging from basic computer literacy skills to the Microsoft Office suite. We’re currently looking for a customer centered Technology Trainer to join our team. This individual will develop course content, deliver instruction in both a classroom and one-on-one learning environment, and assist customers in the computer lab.
Applicants must be able to make the complex simple and fun! Experience in course development and instructional design is desired. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, along with training experience preferred, but will consider new grads – so please apply new grads! A Bachelor’s degree is required. Technology Trainers will be expected to work a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week including weekdays, evenings and weekends. The salary range starts at $15.85 per hour.
Applicants must have a demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (advanced skills desired), Windows and Mac operating systems, and digital devices. Knowledge of social media, digital media software/equipment, and web applications preferred.
