On this last day of 2016 we are excited to share some of our favorite chapter books of the year! Youth services staff read tons of chapter books in any given year and while most are just fine it’s usually clear which titles rise above the others. The fun part is that each reader has different criteria and feelings on what makes a book particularly stellar – giving our list much needed variety. Even better, these books work for a wide range of ages, you’ll find something for kids ages 7-14 years old. Whether you are looking for character driven or fast-paced plots, fantasy, contemporary, or historical genres, a funny or serious tone, there is a little bit of everything in the list below. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
