Activity:
I found a cute, mellow song version of “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” based on the classic book by Bill Martin Jr. The song is available on the Greg & Steve Playing Favorites CD. I showed the kids the book while we listened to the song so they could follow along with the lyrics.
Art:
We made coffee bears! First, I provided the kids with a simple bear pattern. The kids glued the bear onto a piece of construction paper and then decorated it however they liked. We covered the entire bear with glue and then sprinkled ground coffee all over it, to give our bears their brown fur coats. The bears looked and smelled wonderful!
