National Book Award

The National Book Award is the website of the National Book Foundation. The website features the latest books to receive awards from the National Book Foundation as well as Programs, Education, News, and even links to other organizations.

The National Book Critics Circle

The National Book Critics Circle  contains books that have won the National Book Critics award as well as upcoming events and even critics’ blogs.

Newbery Medal

The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. If you are looking for award-winning children’s literature, this is great place to find it. This page also contains links to the homepages of various other literary medals.

Noble Prize for Literature

The Nobel Prize in Literature has distinguished the works of authors from many different languages and cultural backgrounds. The Literature Prize has been awarded to unknown masters as well as authors acclaimed worldwide. The nice thing about this website is that not only can you see what literary works have been awarded the Nobel Prize, but you can also link to other Nobel Prizes.

PEN/Faulkner Award

The PEN/Faulkner Award  was founded by writers in 1980 and named for William Faulkner, who used his Nobel Prize funds to create an award for young writers, and PEN, the international writers’ organization. The PEN/Faulkner Foundation brings together American writers and readers in a wide variety of programs to promote a love of literature.
