Here on the blog the other Matchmakers and I share what we are reading, watching, or listening to quite frequently, but we don’t often hear from our other staff members all over the library system. Now, we will be sharing interviews from other staff members so that you the reader can see what we’re reading/watching/listening to all over the Heights Library system!
What book are you reading at the moment? What are your thoughts on it?
The book I’m currently reading is called Help for the Haunted by John Searles. Suzanne at Mac’s Backs-Books on Coventry suggested the book after I spoke to her about my reading interests. I was expecting more spine tingling and scary moments but I’m enjoying the detailed scenarios and personalities surrounding the lead character Sylvia Mason. I haven’t finished so maybe I’m in for a surprise. The combination of the unknown ghost, trickery, shadows and possessed people and things has kept me reading.
Have you ever pretended to have read a book? If so, which one and why?
I can’t say that I have ever pretended to read a book.
Which do you prefer: movies or television?
I love movies but I have to admit that I’m hooked on American Ninja Warriors right now. I can’t wait to watch Neil deGrasse Tyson’s next series. I loved Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey
Have you found any new or new-to-you artists/bands lately?
I haven’t. Let me know when Sade comes back to Cleveland. I missed her last time!
Do you listen to different music based on the seasons?
I want to say I don’t but when the Christmas season comes around I find myself looking for music by Nat King Cole.
Anything else you’d like to add?
I enjoy my Pandora and Spotify apps. I’m currently getting hooked on Pandora’s Thumbprint Radio. It’s based on what music you gave a thumbs up to and it presents you with new music based on your profile. A good way to discover new artists and music!
