In 1979, childhood resident and local reporter Marion H. Kelly and the Friends of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library published a volume of library history called More Than Just Books: A History of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library. This 92 page volume dealt with the history of the library since its founding in 1916, and includes information on the early history of the library, the professional staff, funding for the library, departmental services, the collection itself, and a chronology. Today we are proud to share this volume with you via new technology that we are using in our effort to share more local history with our surrounding community.
Please visit our Ohio Memory page to read More Than Just Books: A History of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library, which is being shared with the permission of our Friends of the Library group.
