Today we read books that had the common theme of chalk illustrations. I was inspired by the book “Happy” by Mies Van Hout.

Today’s art project was inspired by the wonderful medium of chalk! Kids were given a large piece of black construction paper and sidewalk chalk in many colors. Many were inspired by the fish in “Happy” and chose to draw fish of their own.
