Heights Libraries Names New Finance Manager

Heights Libraries is pleased to name Jana Nassif as the organization’s new finance manager. Nassif succeeds Molly Pandelli, who left in May.

Prior to joining Heights Libraries, Nassif served as  operations manager for the nonprofit Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education (NOCHE), where she was responsible for human resources, employee benefits, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant allocations, cash flow management, event management and information technology.

Prior to joining NOCHE in 2010, Nassif was the Knowledge Center Manager for Global M&A, one of the world’s leading independent mergers and acquisitions advisory firms, where she designed and implemented a web-based platform for information sharing and document collaboration. Nassif also has experience in the banking industry, at National City Corporation. As an associate for National City Equity Partners, she evaluated the performance of fund investments, authored investment recommendations, prepared accounting entries and quarterly reconciliations, and represented the firm at private equity conferences.  She also served as an Auditor with the Corporate Audit Department.

“Jana’s combination of for-profit and nonprofit finance experience makes her the perfect choice for the library,” says Heights Libraries Director Nancy Levin. “We run a very tight ship, especially when it comes to our finances–we use taxpayer money as wisely as possible, and the finance manager plays the biggest part.”

Nassif earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and her Master of Arts in nonprofit administration from John Carroll University.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to be part of such an incredible library system,” says Nassif. “I look forward to working with the staff to continue the library’s excellent service and commitment to the community.”

Nassif will start at the Library in mid-August.
