Heights Libraries returning to curbside service Tuesday, Dec. 21

Heights Libraries’ first priority is the safety of both customers and its staff. This weekend, we made the decision to close due to serious concerns over rising COVID rates and staffing shortages. Currently, there are six staff members in quarantine and several more awaiting test results, while we are already trying to fill existing vacancies.

In light of these challenges, Heights Libraries has decided to return to curbside pick-up services at all branches until further notice beginning Tuesday, December 21.

All branches will remain closed Monday, December 20, while staff work to reconfigure  services.

We will publish details about new service hours by the end of the day on Monday, December 20.

We are deeply appreciative of the community’s understanding and support during this challenging time.

  1. Just to let you know I support your move. You guys have done exceedingly well throughout the pandemic.

  2. Hello: just reading your email this morning about closures…
My son is home from college until Jan. 18 if you are hiring to have extra hands on board during this time. He is fully vaccinated and has gotten a booster shot. Just let us know if you would be interested and I can have him contact you. He would be available Dec. 28 through Jan 16. His name is Gabe Roberto.

  3. @S Stern Lee Rd at least is closed today, I just stopped by.
It’s a sensible decision and I hope everyone recovers well.
I’m just wondering if they’ll extend pickup dates for holds since they closed unexpectedly and curbside won’t start up until Tuesday?
