Request for Qualifications for Professional Design Services
Heights Libraries is seeking qualifications statements in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65 through 153.71 and Sections 9.33 through 9.335 from firms to provide construction manager at risk services for the renovation and expansion of the existing 11,160 square foot University Heights branch located at 13866 Cedar Road, University Heights, Ohio. The scope of work includes a comprehensive renovation of the existing building, as well as a 10,700 square foot expansion of the main and lower levels, and related site improvements. Improvements include the addition of an elevator, new restroom facilities, additional meeting rooms and reading space, as well as upgrades to the HVAC system and electrical and data infrastructure. Site improvements include the expansion of the parking lot, relocation of existing driveways to improve vehicular flow, and enhanced landscaping.
The Project construction cost budget is approximately $3.65 million. Programming and initial schematic design is currently underway. Construction is expected to start by the fall of 2016, and substantial completion is targeted for the summer of 2017.
