In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this year, here is a list of resources to learn more about the history of the federal holiday and the man we commemorate, along with videos of remembrances and Dr. King’s speeches.

It wasn’t until 2000 that all 50 United States finally observed Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Today, the holiday is still celebrated in conjunction with a celebration of Confederate figures in some states.
