For this book, I had a hand puppet with Velcro parts of the face to add when the story is told (similar to the picture below). It worked out great and the kids loved to be up close and personal with the scary monster. I also had the children yell “Go away!” as I took away the parts at the end.
And finally I read this book for one of the sessions,
