We had a groovy time at Explorastory today reading books about music, dancing, and rhythm!

Our first book was:

Drum City

Drum City

Words by Thea Guidone; Pictures by Vanessa Newton

We went on to have a marching good time with Jim Gill’s “The Tempo Marches On’ from Jim Gill Sings Do Re Mi on His Toe Leg Knee

Our next book was:

Cha-Cha Chimps

Cha-cha Chimps

Words by Julia Durango; Pictures by Eleanor Taylor

After storytime, we each created hand shakers out of paper plates filled with beans. Here are some great photos of their creative process.

Be sure to look for many many more great picture books about music and  dancing!
