Keep up to date with the Noble Renovation Project.

The Noble Neighborhood branch offers an outstanding mystery collection, a legacy of former branch manager, Joanne Vicarel. One entire wing of the library is devoted to adult fiction of all genres. Space for this expanded collection was made possible during the 2011 renovation, which also added a separate Teen Room, an expanded computer area, and a Children’s Department in the lower level. The renovation was made with consideration to returning main areas of the library to a design reminiscent of 1937 when the building opened.

The Noble branch is also home to the Early Literacy PLAYroom, designed to develop early literacy skills for children ages 0-6 through play and materials that will fuel children’s excitement for literacy and love of reading. This room was made possible by a Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.

In an effort to serve the significant refugee population living in the area, Noble began hosting a Welcome Hub on Tuesday evenings aimed at addressing the unique needs of this group. The Hub is made possible through the efforts of the staff and our community partners, CHUH schools, Global Cleveland, and US Together.
