Pride in Picture Books

Happy Pride!  Yesterday was the last day of June which means it was the last day of Pride Month!  To celebrate we are sharing picture books that celebrate identity and the LGBTQIA+ community. Each title focuses on the topics of identity, gender expression, or experiences of members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether they feature characters that buck gender norms, show love between same sex couples, contain information on pronouns, or share questions about identity, each book encourages children and families to be true to themselves.  Hopefully, they will also inspire love and acceptance, offer reinforcement of identity, and encourage open conversations.

Enjoy the books in the list below ALL YEAR LONG by calling your nearest Heights Libraries branch to order.
