Soon to Be a Major Motion Picture

After viewing a movie based on a book they’d read,  you’ve probably heard someone say that the book is always better than the movie.  Personally, I think that that’s usually the case, even when the movie is good.  You may want to read the books first for these movie adaptations being released during the second half of 2014:

A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby, June 5

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes by Alex Irvine,  July 11

The Hundred Foot Journey by Richard C. Morais, Aug. 8

The Giver by Lois Lowry, August 15

If I Stay by Gayle Forman, Aug. 22

The Switch by Elmore Leonard, (movie title: Life of Crime) Aug. 29

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, Sept. 1

A Most Wanted Man by John Le Carre, Sept. 5
