Art Activity: the children were given a large black circle with four hole punches on each side, and one at the top. This made the spider’s body. They were given pipe cleaners to bend into legs, 2 white circles for eyes, and red paper to make their own mouth in the expression they desired. Their spider was then looped through a length of yarn to make its web. See my example below:
