Today we learned about circular stories, which are stories where the plot comes full circle, and the story ends as it began. Just for fun, I threw in the book “600 Black Spots” at the end to discuss circles in a more literal way, and lead into the art project.
Books:
“Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes” by Eric Litwin
“Oh, Look!” by Patricia Polacco
“If You Take a Mouse to School” by Laura Numeroff
“600 Black Spots” by David Carter

Our art project was inspired by the book “600 Black Spots” by David Carter. I gave the kids circle cutouts and implements to make circles, such as a stamp and a hole puncher. This process-oriented project yielded some amazing results.
