Talk of the Town

It’s crazy how there are sometimes stories that everyone is talking about. The one that seems to be captivating everyone right now is the story of Robert Durst. If you haven’t heard anything about him, Durst is a 71-year-old real estate heir and millionaire. And on March 14, he was arrested on the charge of first-degree murder. On March 15, the last episode of the six part mini-series The Jinx: the Life and Deaths of Robert Durst aired on HBO and featured Durst rambling what could be construed as a confession. Durst is suspected of being tied to three murders, but has not been convicted.

Oscar nominated filmmaker Andrew Jarecki (Capturing the Friedmans) is the writer/director of the Jinx mini-series. He was also the director of the 2010 film All Good Things, which was loosely based on the   disappearance of Kathie McCormack, Durst’s wife, back in 1982. The film starred Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst, and Frank Langella.

Until the next big story…
