Teddy Bears

We had a fun time today reading stories about a perennial favorite toy: the cuddly teddy bear!

I introduced the theme by letting the kids hug my pal Corduroy, who wore the teddy bear necklace we made after storytime.

Books:

What Does My Teddy Bear Do All Day? “What Does My Teddy Bear Do All Day?” by Bruno Hachler

Where's My Teddy? “Where’s My Teddy?” by Jez Alborough

One Ted Falls Out of Bed “One Ted Falls Out of Bed” by Julia Donaldson

We did a variation of the classic “Teddy Bear Teddy Bear, turn around” rhyme. The song we used was track #8 on the Wiggles’ CD “Big Birthday!”

Today’s craft was a teddy bear necklace made with our Ellison die cut machine. We decorated the bears with markers, jewels, and pompoms. A fun piece of wearable art that looked adorable on the kids.
