Last week, I finished reading the Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri. I found it to be another amazing book by a very talented author. (Next up on my to-read list is her memoir In Other Words!) But it also got me thinking about how some of my favorite and most memorable reads have been books with multiple narrators. The Lowland has five. It’s interesting to see how an author weaves a tale between different characters over time and is able to express their unique points of view regarding the same situations. This adds complexity. And I love it.
So I started to look through my little black Moleskine of books that I have read (dating back to April 2007) to see if I have indeed developed a pattern over the years of turning to multiple narrators. And so now I have this list for anyone else who craves getting the whole story from different points of view. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
