These Are a Few of My Favorite Apps!

OK, fine, I won’t sing about my favorite apps like Julie Andrews in “The Sound of Music”, but I will blog about them!

There are so many wonderful apps available, but I think some of my very favorite are library apps. Here are three apps that will easily connect you to Heights Library services on your smartphone or tablet.

Overdrive: As part of the CLEVNET consortium, Heights Libraries customers have access to the CLEVNET eMedia Collection. This collection allows library card holders to find and check out audiobooks, eBooks and videos. right from their mobile devices. Download the Overdrive Media Console app on your device to check out eMedia on the go.

 

 

Freegal: Did you know that you can legally download music for free from the Freegal site using your library card? All music is free and can be kept forever – there are no due dates! Install the Freegal app to your phone or other mobile device to easily download music.

 

 

 

Zinio: The library’s Zinio service provides you access to a collection of 150 popular magazine titles to check out with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limit to the number of items you can download!
