Our theme today was “under the weather.” We read books about being sick. We also learned a rhyme about keeping our hands clean.
Rhyme: 5 Little Fingers
5 little fingers playing all day
Getting really dirty
Wash the germs away (rub hands together)
4 little fingers catching a sneeze
Needing some gel soap
Just a squeeze please (mimick squeezing a bottle)
3 little fingers staying pretty clean
Sneeze into your elbow (put your face into the crook of your elbow)
See what I mean!
2 little fingers tap the keyboard (pretend to tap a keyboard)
Be sure to wash your hands
Before you touch some more!
1 little finger going in a nose (pretend to put your finger in your nose)
Please grab a tissue
Before you blow your nose!
5 little fingers happy to say
We’re clean and we’re healthy
Hip Hip! HOORAY!!!
Craft: Medical Bags
For our craft, we made medical bags. This way the children can help take care of their parents if mom/dad/grand-people/etc. get sick 😉 Check out the finished product!
