Better Know a Library Staffer: Kim

Here on the blog the other Matchmakers and I share what we are reading, watching, or listening to quite frequently, but we don’t often hear from our other staff members all over the library system. Now, we will be sharing interviews from other staff members so that you the reader can see what we’re reading/watching/listening to all over the Heights Library system!

This interview comes from Deputy Director Kim!

Read

What book are you reading at the moment? What are your thoughts on it?

I just finished One-in-a-Million Boy by Monica Wood and I really loved it.  I’ve never read this author before, but I believe she’s written other novels.

What I loved about this book were the unique characters, unexpected plot elements (but still believable) and how different chapters were written from the perspectives of different characters and during different time periods.

What kind of books do you typically read?

I read adult novels voraciously, as well as mysteries.  I also read a lot of short story collections.

Have you ever pretended to have read a book? If so, which one and why?

No.  If I haven’t read it, I’ll own up to it.

Watch

Which do you prefer: movies or television?

I don’t have a preference.  It depends on the story, not the medium, for me.

Have you ever binge-watched a show? If so, what was it?

House of Cards, The Affair, and Modern Family

Listen

What kind of music do you enjoy?

  Almost everything.

Do you listen to different music based on the seasons?

Absolutely.  Also, the time of day matters to me.

Thanks Kim!
