I hear there’s a stomp down at the swamp…today we had fun doing the Dinosaur Stomp!
I introduced the theme with our fun T-Rex puppet (from Folkmanis) and encouraged the kids to do their loudest T-Rex roar!

We did a fun action rhyme. Here is the text:
Dinosaurs lived a long time ago.
Some ran (run in place),
Some jumped (jump up and down),
Some flew, you know! (flap arms like wings)
Some were big! (Jump up and hold out arms)
Some were small (Crouch down low)
And some were gigantic–veeerrry tall! (Hold arms high above head)
Our art project was one of my favorite types: a paper plate craft. We made a brontosaurus from one paper plate. Here is a link to the directions and the template:

This project ended up being a nice collaboration between the children and their caregivers.
