2019 has been a great year for picture books – interactive high-five competitions, wordless science fiction, celebrations of food and history, sports, silly animals—it was hard to narrow down my list of favorites. The books below might inspire you to give hugs, shout hooray, make friends, have a snack, share a story, or take a few deep breaths. No matter what, the titles will ensure read-aloud fun for the whole family. Let me know what books you might have chosen or if I missed any!
