Teddy Bears!

We had a fun time today reading stories about a perennial favorite toy: the cuddly teddy bear!

I introduced the theme by letting the kids hug my pal Corduroy, and all of the kids recognized him!

We did a variation of the classic “Teddy Bear Teddy Bear, turn around” rhyme. The song we used was track #8 on the Wiggles’ CD “Big Birthday!”

 

Today’s craft was a teddy bear necklace made with our Ellison die cut machine. We decorated the bears with markers, jewels, and pompoms. A fun piece of wearable art that looked adorable on the kids. Here is Froggy modeling my creation:
