I am a farmer but I don’t have a farm.
Just a tiny little garden in my front yard.
I am a farmer, and if I had my way,
I’d have a chicken-coop mailbox with eggs and hay.
an excerpt from “I am a Farmer” by Eric-Shabazz Larkin
A Moose Boosh: A Few Choice Words About Food by Eric-Shabazz Larkin is a delightful collection of poetry and “vandalized” photographs. I don’t know if I can decide what my favorite part about the book is – the lively photographs that have been adapted with fun drawings on top: or the clever poems about food and gardening. The focus of Mr Larkin’s poetry is urban farming and living, which suits our community to a tee. I highly recommend his fun collection.
