Art Project:  Following the story of “Mouse Count,” each child received a print-out of an empty jar (something we found online).  We laid out several ink pads of different colors (red, purple, yellow, green, etc.) and let each child make thumb prints in their jar.  After they made several prints, they used colored pencils to transform their thumb prints into little mice by adding ears, whiskers and a tail.  They could even draw that pesky snake outside of the jar!
