The whole world, me included, is awaiting the release of the new Adele album on November 20th (get yourself on the hold list now). It may seem like a lifetime away, but don’t despair! There’s plenty of great new music to enjoy while you’re waiting for your copy.
Let me recommend:
The Ballroom Thieves – terrific folk trio who recently released their debut album A Wolf in the Doorway. They remind me a bit of the Avett Brothers which is a huge compliment in my book, and they create some beautiful harmonies.
If you’re in a classical mood then definitely check out Max Richter‘s latest release From Sleep. He’s a contemporary classical composer who has released a number of terrific albums and soundtracks over the years. His latest is a soothing collection of pieces that are the perfect way to end a busy work day.
Finally, perhaps you would rather pass the time by listening to another British songstress. If that is the case then let me recommend the very talented Leona Lewis. I’ve just started listening to her new album I Am but so far it is hitting all of the right notes. Thunder is a great single.
